Militants Attack Police Station in Southeastern Iran, Killing Officer; Clashes Continue

TEHRAN, Iran — In a violent incident reported on Saturday, a group of militants launched an attack on a police station in southeastern Iran, resulting in the death of a police officer, as per state TV.

The targeted police station was located in Zahedan, a city situated in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province, approximately 30 kilometers (18.64 miles) away from the Pakistan border. The militants, armed with suicide belts, stormed the station, and one officer lost his life during the assault.
